A new year of navigation officially inaugurated at the Port of Montreal
On the 1st of January, the container ship MSC Donata, en route from Portugal to Malta, was the first ocean-going vessel of 2023 to call at the Port of Montreal, kicking off a new year of navigation! To mark the occasion, Indian-born Captain Singh Ranjit Kumar was presented with the traditional Gold-Headed Cane by Martin Imbleau, President and CEO of the MPA.
The MPA is proud to uphold maritime traditions established over the past 180 years, reminding us that Montreal has long been the international gateway to the heart of the continent, and a strategic logistical hub that serves a pool of 110 million consumers.
