Forms and permits
Obtain port passes and permits for handling hazardous materials, burning and welding, parking, occupancy, security and laying up of vessels.
Pre-Arrival Notification
The owner or the individual responsible for a vessel must send the Montreal Port Authority (MPA) Harbour Master's Office the Pre-Arrival Notification form 24 hours before the vessel enters the Port limits or, if the vessel is less than 24 hours away, at the time of departure from the previous port. Dangerous Goods Permit
A permit is required before moving any dangerous goods in the port. The form must be completed by the person responsible for the vessel and emailed to:

Burning and welding permits
Before any hot work is carried out on Montreal Port Authority property, a burning and welding permit application must be submitted to the Control Centre at: 514 283-7022.
