Thursday, December 5, the Montreal Port Authority (MPA) held a public meeting on its proposed road link in the Viau Terminal sector.

Organized to present the preliminary results of the Environmental Effects Evaluation along with the proposed design, the meeting was attended by 50 area locals, who came to learn more about the project. The MPA’s Environment, Infrastructure Management and Community Relations teams were there to provide explanations and answer questions.

The MPA’s objective is to build an overpass across Notre-Dame Street to the future extension of Assomption Blvd., connecting port terminals directly to the highway network for better traffic flow and reducing truck traffic on Notre-Dame Street.
