Le CMA CGM Paranagua à quai au Port de Montréal

Assigned to the St. Lawrence service connecting the Port of Montreal to Northern Europe, this new container ship replaces the CMA CGM Louga, which served the same maritime line.

Compared with its predecessor, the vessel has a container capacity of 3,091 TEUs, a 25% upswing in terms of capacity.

For the occasion, a bollard was presented to the ship’s captain, Master Mariner Anatoliy Kurnyevych, by Geneviève Deschamps, Guillaume Brossard and Rosetta Iacono, with CMA CGM Canada General Manager Thiago Campos in attendance.

This good news highlights CMA CGM’s ongoing commitment to the Port of Montreal.

“The Port of Montreal is thrilled with the arrival of the CMA CGM Paranagua to its docks. As a long-standing partner, CMA CGM honours us by bringing vessels with higher capacity, which further strengthens its commitment to deliver ever-improving service for the benefit of our clients and, at the same time, boost the commercial attractiveness of the St. Lawrence corridor,” said Geneviève Deschamps.

“CMA CGM is committed to providing the best possible service at the core of a dynamic market and a strong logistics ecosystem. Our business relationship with the Port of Montreal is a long-term commitment of mutual sucess for the future, and we are pleased to solidify our presence and role with the addition of this new vessel,” said Thiago Campos, General Manager, CMA CGM Canada.
