Committed to sustainable tourism: the Grand Quay on its way to GreenStep certification
The Port of Montreal’s Grand Quay has signed the Sustainable Tourism 2030 Pledge, marking its start on a path to strengthen its sustainability performance by 2030. This approach is based on implementing tangible actions and monitoring progress to achieve measurable goals. The next step is to obtain GreenStep certification.
Launched in June 2021, the Sustainable Tourism 2030 Pledge is an initiative to support businesses and tourist destinations while they measure and improve their sustainable development practices. It unites organizations in the tourism and hospitality sectors around a common ambition: to promote more responsible tourism that benefits the industry and communities, in line with both the United Nations’ action plan, its 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, and its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
