Restoration of operations well underway following end of labour dispute
Since operations fully resumed on Saturday, November 16, Port of Montreal teams have been working closely with all of our partners to restore operations to the level of efficiency and smooth flow that our clients expect. The results of these efforts swiftly took hold and operations were soon back to cruising speed.
Here is an update on how the recovery of operations is progressing. Based on four performance indicators, the following data is meant to keep you posted on the course of the recovery to support you in planning your own operations:
- Number of vessels expected in the coming weeks (containerized cargo)
- Number of containers now on the ground
- Import rail dwell time
- Number of trucks per day over the last five days of operations
