The Port of Montreal is proud to join the Montreal Climate Partnership. Announced today as part of the City of Montreal’s Climate Change Plan, this partnership initiated by the Foundation of Greater Montreal and the Trottier Family Foundation brings together a number of key actors in the Montreal community to take action on a large scale against climate change.

Comprised of philanthropic, institutional, economic and community actors, including Energir, the Greater Montreal Climate Fund, Propulsion Québec, Jalon, Concordia University, the CCMM, UQAM, Desjardins and the regional environment council CRE-Montréal, the Montreal Climate Partnership plans to conduct practical projects to accelerate the reduction of GHGs in Montreal, with a view to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

This commitment by the Port of Montreal is fully in line with its policy and its vision of sustainable development, which it has been pursuing for more than 10 years by participating in greening campaigns, implementing green infrastructure and carrying out projects to protect flora and fauna.
