Updated: August 25, 2024, 3 p.m.
Following the Canada Industrial Relations Board's decision to end the rail employees' work stoppage at 00:01 a.m. on Monday August 26, the Port of Montreal is currently working with CN and CPKC teams to ensure that operations resume as soon as possible.
All ship loading and unloading activities, as well as truck access to terminals, are fully operational.
The Montreal Port Authority welcomes the resumption of rail operations and continues to support a lasting resolution to the uncertainty.
