Rosetta Iacono – Director, Growth and Development

What has Rosetta always been passionate about? International trade! Employed at the Port of Montreal since 2013, Rosetta is the first point of contact with clients. To them, she is the face of the Port.

Rosetta has been active in the marine industry for many years. She began her career at Hapag-Lloyd, a shipping line that calls at the Port of Montreal, before joining Resolute Forest Products, a port user.

Here at the Port of Montreal, she works closely with our overseas agents to develop growth strategies. For Rosetta and her team, establishing, maintaining and strengthening relationships with all of our clients are key objectives. Meetings, conferences and industry events are part of her daily routine. “It’s essential for me to listen, help clients and understand their needs,” she said.

Do you know what else Rosetta has a passion for besides international trade? Cooking?! She loves to cook, and according to her family, she is excellent at it. They’re a lucky family ?! Her children are even ready to sign her up for MasterChef Canada ?‍?!! She told us that when she was very young, it was the delicious aroma of her mother’s homemade tomato sauce and meatballs that inspired her and sparked her interest. By the age of 11, she was already learning to cook and making meals for the family when she came home from school. We bet Rosetta’s recipes smell as great as her mom’s ?!
