Julie Gascon appointed Board Chair of Jeunes musiciens du monde
Focused on its mission of providing free music education to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, Jeunes musiciens du monde (JMM) announced on February 11 the appointment of Julie Gascon, President and CEO of the MPA, as Chair of its Board of Directors.
Since 2016, the MPA has been supporting Jeunes musiciens du monde through the Desgagnés Kayak Challenge as part of its community engagement policy.
"With enthusiasm and tremendous pride, I’m taking on the role of Chair of the Board of Directors of Jeunes musiciens du monde, a cause that is truly close to our hearts. This organization makes a real contribution to how young people develop through its meaningful and forward-looking mission. For a decade now, we have been staunch supporters of the Kayak Challenge, an event that epitomizes the values that bring us together, namely commitment, solidarity, passion and our love of the river. As a key event for our maritime ecosystem, it rallies our community to a deeply human cause.
