
This summer at the Port of Montreal
All aboard for summer fun! Whether at the Port of Montreal’s Grand Quay or one of our various partners’ events, there are plenty of ways to enjoy summer by the water!
Extended hours
To our warmly welcome visitors, the Grand Quay and the Port Tower will switch to summer hours starting June 21:
- Grand Quay outdoor areas: Commencement Square and green roof): everyday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Port of Montreal Tower: every day from noon to 8 p.m.
Fireworks… from a magical vantage point
Want to watch the fireworks displays of the Internationale des Feux Loto-Québec (July 26 to 31) in an enchanting setting? Commencement Square at the Grand Quay, with its gently sloping lawn, is the ideal spot. On site : surround-sound official music for the event, Adirondack chairs and picnic tables.
Summer with our partners
Through our community engagement policy, we support all kinds of summer activities offered by our partners:
- Young Urban Sailors: free introductory sailing and rowing lessons Introductory sailing and rowing lessons 2025 | Young Urban Sailors (site in French) offered on the east end of the island
- From August 7 to 9, the Diableries de Contrecœur(site in French) offers three days of shows, entertainment, and activities for the whole family
- The Phare culturel de Verchères(site in French) is offering eight evenings of film screenings as part of the Mouche à feu program
- From August 7 to 10, the Desgagnés Kayak Challenge from Jeunes musiciens du monde is offering a kayak trip on the river from Montreal to Quebec City featuring a team from the MPA
- August 23 and 24: The Port of Montreal cycling team will be pedalling for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada as part of 2025 MS Bike
