Hydrosphères de Lindo Covit

Installed in 2022 on the forecourt of the Montreal Port Tower, artist Linda Covit’s sculpture Hydrosphères pays tribute to the St. Lawrence River through a poetic interpretation of the theme of water. Commissioned by the Montreal Port Authority (MPA) following a competition organized by the Ministry of Culture and Communications, this work is part of a commitment to unite art, historic heritage and public space.

Every year, the CODAawards celebrate the most outstanding collaborations between artists, designers and professionals on an international scale, showcasing excellence in the artworks that most successfully integrate commissioned art into interior, architectural or public spaces.

For the 2025 edition, the competition received 281 entries from 14 countries. The projects were judged on the quality of integration, the strength of their collaborative process and their ability to inspire.
