2026 Port of Montreal Awards of Excellence

The contest is open to partner organizations in the shipping industry and organizations operating in the Port of Montreal.

• Submitted projects must have already been completed and generated solid results over the past year (between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025).
• Initiatives must be directly related to one of the award categories.
• An organization may submit more than one entry, provided that each project is separate and entered in a different category.

• Entries must be complete and submitted before the April 1, 2026, deadline.
• The information provided must be accurate and verifiable.
• The jury reserves the right not to present an award if no entry meets the criteria for excellence.

Projects will be analyzed based on the following criteria:

• Relevance
• Impact and solid benefits
• Innovative or exemplary nature

• Relevance and alignment with the category: 40%
• Measurable benefits and results: 40%
• Innovation or exemplary nature: 20%

The Port Excellence Awards ceremony will be held on April 23, 2026, as part of the Port of Montreal’s annual meeting. The winners will be officially revealed at this event.

Details on the location, schedule and program for the ceremony will be announced at a later date.

Submitted projects must show practical actions to prevent accidents, reduce risks, train or raise awareness among employees, and strengthen the health and safety culture. Special attention will be given to initiatives that go beyond regulatory requirements and show measurable results.

Projects may focus on reduced environmental footprint, energy efficiency, transition to more sustainable practices, circular economy, or ecosystem protection. Environmental, social and economic benefits must be clearly shown.

This award recognizes an organization that has helped improve the commercial performance, efficiency, and competitiveness of the Port of Montreal. The initiatives entered must show tangible gains in operational fluidity, logistics innovation, strategic partnerships, or value creation for the port’s clients and partners.
