Open houses on the Contrecœur project
In conjunction with the possible start of preparatory work planned for the fall of 2025, the Port of Montreal is holding two open houses for the public. These evening events will be an opportunity to go over project planning and offer everyone who is interested a chance talk with teams of experts as they visit information stands.
Eight theme stands will be set up, each on a topic that covers key aspects of the project, featuring:
- The Port of Montreal and its activities
- Current status of the expansion project, including its components and completion model
- Project works to be carried out this fall, notably the type of work, the order of work, its organization and timeline
- Measures to monitor project works affecting the physical environment and the human environment
- The environment, including monitoring programs and compensation plans
- Local development and economic benefits, namely initiatives in which the Port takes part and support for local development
- Transportation and mobility during construction, including truck traffic around the future terminal
- Your opinion, where you are welcome to share your thoughts and suggestions, and sign up for the mailing list
