Valérie Wells

Senior Director, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary

Valérie Wells has been Senior Director, Legal Affairs, and Corporate Secretary at the Montreal Port Authority since April 2022. She is responsible for legal affairs and corporate secretariat.

Valérie Wells has extensive experience in legal affairs management, commercial and contractual matters, both in the private and para-governmental sectors. She joined the MPA in 2008 and, prior to becoming Senior-Director, held the positions of Legal Counsel and Director, Legal Affairs. Prior to that, she spent many years in various legal department positions, the last with Pratt & Whitney Canada.

 A graduate in civil and common law from the University of Ottawa, Valérie Wells holds an MBA from McGill University and is also a Certified Corporate Administrator (CCA). She has been a member of the Québec Bar since 1992. She is also a member of the Law and Governance Committee of the Association of Canadian Port Authorities and the Corporate Secretary of CargoM, the Montreal Metropolitan logistics and transportation cluster.
