Appointment of two new directors to the Montreal Port Authority
On the recommendation of the Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, His Excellency the Governor General in Council has named Hélène Lauzon and Johanne Lépine as directors of the Montreal Port Authority (MPA) for a term of three years and two years respectively.
Ms. Lauzon is currently Chair of the Quebec business council on the environment, the Conseil Patronal de l’Environnement.
Ms. Lépine holds the position of Executive Vice-President and Chair, Eastern Canada at Aon Risk Solutions.
MPA directors and senior management are pleased to welcome Ms. Lauzon and Ms. Lépine to the team and wish them all the best. Their expertise will definitely be instrumental in carrying out the MPA’s vision and strategy.
The Board of Directors is made up of seven members, business people from the Montreal region. The three levels of government - federal, provincial and municipal – each appoint one director. The other four directors are appointed by the Governor in Council on the recommendation of the Federal Minister of Transport in consultation with the Port’s Users Committee.
