April 2019 — Gold Quill Award of Merit from the International Association of Business Communicators
The public opening of the Port of Montreal's Grand Quay (June 3, 2018) was awarded in the Special And Experiential Events category.
December 2018 — Tactical Excellence/Event silver award for the opening of the Grand Quay from the SQPRP (Société québécoise des professionnels en relations publiques)
On June 3, 2018, the Port of Montreal launched its new facilities at the Grand Quay with a family party that attracted no less than 13,000 people. Through this major public inauguration supported by an advertising and media campaign, the Port took a step forward in its relationship with citizens.
June 2018 — American Association of Port Authorities Communications Awards
The Port of Montreal wins the Excellence Award for its History of Ships exhibition (launched in July 2017) and the Distinction Award for its advertising campaign The Port of Montreal at the Heart of History (2017). This campaign took the form of a series of advertising displays, digital ads in La Presse + and the Montreal Gazette, articles on social media, newsletters and a video.
June 2016 - Port's advertising campaign wins two awards
Terrain Ogilvy won two prestigious awards at the Summit Creative Award international competition. The awards are a crowning achievement for an advertising campaign that the agency produced for the Port of Montreal. The agency won Print Best of Show for the Trading with the World campaign, and gold for the Chopsticks advertisement that is part of the campaign. The Summit Creative Award recognizes each year creative campaigns from more than 20 participating countries.

May 10, 2013 - Bronze 2013 Port Communications Award
The Port of Montreal has won the International Association of Ports and Harbors’ (IAPH) bronze 2013 Port Communications Award. The prize recognizes a project that provides free Wi-Fi on Port of Montreal territory to seafarers whose ships are docked in port. The service allows mariners to connect more easily with family and friends back home. More

Once again, the Port of Montreal was signalled out by the prestigious magazine Cruise Insight with the Best Turnaround Destination award, which honours cruise destinations around the world that offer disembarking and boarding passengers a superior welcome. More
March 2013 - Award for efficient cruise services
The Port of Montreal has won an award for its cruise operations from the prestigious Cruise Insight magazine for a fifth consecutive year. This year the Port has taken home the prize for Most Efficient Port Services. The award recognizes the Port’s efficient combination of port agency and customs services and its strong working relationship with cruise line operations departments. More

The Contrecoeur Terminal Project receives the Oracle Award in the Benefits / Value Creation Project of the Year category at the 12th global Infrastructure Leadership Forum.
September 2018 — Environmental Excellence Award from NAMEPA
The Port of Montreal has been awarded the Marine Environment Protection Award for 2018 in the Port category from the North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA). The Port of Montreal was recognized for its recent sustainable development initiatives, notably for certain promising projects: the Trucking PORTal, shore power and a a liquefied natural gas solution. June 2018 — Environmental Excellence Award from the AQTR
The Port of Montreal has been awarded the Grand Prize for Excellence in the Environment category by Quebec’s road transportation association, the Association québécoise du transport et des routes (AQTR), for its shore power project : a cruiser terminal supply system and shore-side systems for wintering vessels to feed them with cleaner energy during their stay. Ultimately, this allows a reduction of 2800 tonnes per year of greenhouse gas emissions. More
September 2017 — Orange Triangle Award from the Quebec Association of Fire Prevention Technicians
The Safety and Fire Prevention team of the Montreal Port Authority won the Orange Triangle Award at the 52nd Annual Conference of the Quebec Association of Fire Prevention Technicians (ATPIQ). The MPA team received this award in recognition of its efforts to develop and harmonize an emergency measures plan for the Port of Montreal with all the partners involved. More

April 30, 2014 - Étoile d'Or from Cercle Esteler
The Port of Montreal received the Étoile d’Or trophy awarded by the Cercle Esteler – Belgian Business Network in Quebec. This award recognized the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2013 with the Port of Antwerp. Under this MOU, the two partners have established four areas of collaborative activity: marketing and business development; business intelligence; asset management; and sustainable, socially responsible development.
