The Port of Montreal is a proud partner of Vague estivale 2016

Montreal, June 18, 2016 – The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) is pleased to contribute to the program of summer activities offered by the borough of Rivière-des-Prairies¬–Pointe-aux-Trembles, the Vague estivale. For the past several years, the MPA has sponsored historic cruises that offer residents a chance to discover the natural, historic and maritime heritage of the far eastern part of the Saint Lawrence River in Montreal.

Through its community investment policy, the Port of Montreal seeks to give back to the community by supporting organizations and events that contribute to the vitality of the neighbourhoods and cities adjacent to its port facilities, like the borough of Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles.

“The relationship that binds the Port of Montreal to the borough of Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles and its residents is an essential one, because some of our activities take place nearby. So we have to be concerned about the community, and we have to be active within it. The community really is just as much of a stakeholder in our operations as our business partners are,” explains Sophie Roux, Vice-President, Public Affairs, at the MPA.
