The legendary Marco Polo calls into Montreal, after sailing from London with close to 1,000 cruise passengers on board. This ship first called into Montreal 35 years ago as the Alexandr Pushkin, flying the Soviet flag. The cruise ship returned to Montreal on September 24.

The Port of Montreal participates in Festa Italiana, an annual fundraising dinner organized by Mariners’ House. More than 500 people, mainly from the shipping industry, attended the event, held at Iberville Passenger Terminal, and enjoyed the Italian feast prepared by Le Muscadin Restaurant for a very reasonable price.

A group of 16 students in Administration at HEC Montreal finish a two-week study tour of companies by bike with a tour of the Port of Montreal led Daniel Dagenais, Vice-President, Operations at the Port.

A team from the Port of Montreal takes part in the 26th Quebec Division MS Bike Tour to fund research on multiple sclerosis.

Port in the City Day attracts more than 2,700 cruise passengers, mostly Montrealers who live close to the Port of Montreal.  Read the press release

The Port launches a new advertising campaign that showcases people (neighbours, workers, organizations, partners, etc.) at the heart of port life; at the heart of our world.

The Port of Montreal hosts the annual conference of the Association of Canadian Port Authorities (ACPA) under the theme: Pushing the Limits. More than 200 delegates are in Montreal to discuss ways of using creativity to promote growth in the Canadian marine transportation industry while respecting society and the environment. Several senior executives at the Port of Montreal, including President and CEO Sylvie Vachon, participate in Quebec Maritime Day in Quebec City.

Mariners’ House launches its 2016 calendar and is set to sell all 1,200 for $20 each. Drawings are to be held every week for a chance to win cash prizes. Funds raised go to the benefit of Mariners’ House, which annually welcomes thousands of foreign mariners calling at Montreal.

Port of Montreal executives take part in an economic mission in Chicago. The group of business people and representatives of institutions and organizations in Quebec’s marine sector is led by the premier of Quebec.
