ROBERT SAUVÉ ELECTED BOARD PRESIDENT OF THE ORDRE DES INGÉNIEURS DU QUÉBEC
Montreal, June 20, 2014 – The Board of Directors of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) has elected Mr. Robert Sauvé to the office of President of the Ordre, at the first meeting of the 94th Board of Directors. Robert Sauvé, Eng. has been Director of Infrastructure Management at the Montreal Port Authority (MPA) since he joined the port team in 2006.
This is the first two-year term chairing the Board for Mr. Sauvé, who has been a member of the OIQ Board of Directors since 2013.
“The MPA congratulates Robert Sauvé on this appointment,” said Sylvie Vachon, President and CEO of the MPA. “This nomination also demonstrates the MPA’s commitment to be actively involved in the community and to forge ties with organizations that contribute directly or indirectly to the development of Montreal’s port community.”
The OIQ’s Board of Directors consists of twenty engineers elected by Board members and four public representatives appointed by the Office des professions du Québec.
