Access to passenger terminal

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – 2016 SEASON

The Montreal Port Authority has begun preparatory work for the restoration of Alexandra Pier and the cruise terminal located at Iberville Passenger Terminal, which is why the present cruise terminal will be closed for the 2016 season.

This means that from late May to the end of October 2016, most cruise ships and passengers will be welcomed at Berths 34-35 and 36-37, located east of Pont Jacques-Cartier Bridge, which is about 7 km to the east of Old Montreal. Certain smaller vessels will dock at Berth M, located close to Bickerdike Terminal.

BERTHS 34 – 37  

Two very large semi-permanent tents will be erected and will provide the following services to passengers:

  • Access ramp for people with reduced mobility
  • Waiting area
  • Tourist information counter
  • Toilets (men/women/people with reduced mobility)
  • Public telephones
  • Free wireless Internet
  • Vending machines for coffee ($) / soda ($) / snacks ($)
  • Taxi stand
  • Shuttle service to Old Montreal
  • Free long-term parking spaces

Access

FROM THE AIRPORT:
A flat fare of $53 CDN (including taxes, not including tip) was negotiated for direct trips by taxi between Pierre-Elliott Trudeau International Airport and the temporary terminal at Berths 34 – 37.

There is also bus service (line 747) between Pierre-Elliott Trudeau International Airport and downtown Montreal for $10 CDN. Please note that only coins are accepted aboard the bus (no bank notes). However, automated STM ticket dispensers are available at the International Arrivals level. Payment options for the ticket dispensers are: cash, debit cards and VISA and MasterCard credit cards. Once downtown, take a taxi or the free shuttle from Old Montreal to the temporary terminal.

FROM DOWNTOWN:
If you are coming by car or by taxi from downtown, access to the temporary terminal is via the Pie-IX entrance to the Port of Montreal. This entrance is located at the intersection of Notre-Dame East and Pie-IX Blvd. Once on Port territory, take the Port road on your right to the temporary cruise terminal.

 

 

FROM OLD MONTREAL:
A free shuttle service between Alexandra Pier and the temporary terminal starts at 8:30 AM. The last shuttle leaves Alexandra Pier two (2) hours before the vessel’s departure time.

Baggage consignment
Baggage consignment is available at the shuttle stop next to Alexandra Pier between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
Cost : 5$ per baggage.

 

MACKAY PIER (BERTH M)  

MacKay Pier (Berth M) is located across from Bickerdike Terminal.

FROM THE AIRPORT:  
The trip between Pierre-Elliott Trudeau International Airport is $40 CDN (flat fare including taxes, not including tip).

FROM DOWNTOWN:
If you are coming by car or by taxi from downtown, there are two ways to get to Berth M:

From Old Montreal:  Take Rue Mill Street to the end. Turn left onto Rue Bridge Street and then left onto Rue Des Irlandais Street, before the entry to Victoria Bridge. Turn right at the end of the street, then left at the traffic lights. Go under the Bonaventure Expressway (Highway 10). At the next traffic lights, take an immediate left. Continue for about 50 metres and turn right on the service road to Bickerdike Terminal.

From downtown: Take the Bonaventure Expressway (Highway 10) and exit at Avenue Pierre-Dupuy / Port de Montreal. At the second traffic light, turn left. This will take you under the Bonaventure Expressway (Highway 10). At the next traffic lights, take an immediate left. Continue for about 50 metres and turn right on the service road to Bickerdike Terminal.
